I think it needs lot of study of Indina History and also there is no protection to Buddhist Monks all over India , there are no marshel art Gurus to protect the Dhamma

Buddhism is a religion of peace and self-enlightenment. I think the days when the religion is persecuted is long gone. Therefore there is no need for protection by martial arts exponents as was the case of Shaolin Temple many eons ago.

Now the main purpose of maintaining the martial arts regime is to stay healthy.

Where are the buddhist centers in India, if there are?

Yes there lot of centers in India in state Bihar,Maharastra even in Hydrabad city and near Aurangabad lot of Budddhist centers are there and lot of small stupas called Vihara's are there every where in State Maharastra and lot of peoples are sufferd from castism and attacks from people of other community I think lot of Buddist peoples in India converted about 50 years back du to Dr. Ambedkar and they still understanding Buddhism and there are lot of Vippassana centers in India main in Igatpuri called Dhammagiri in Maharastra State

I think it's fair to say that Buddhism has been overshadowed by both Hinduism and Islam in India, maybe even the Sikh religion.

Now India is better known as the place that provides refuge to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Do you read sutras? If you do, are they in Sanskrit or English?

I tend to read a combination of English and Chinese translations since I don't know Sanskrit nor Pali.

Great and thanks for your suggestions yes Dhammas is over shadowed by Hindusm majorly, but we need to do something various buddhist places are occupied by Hindu templeas and Gods, and they started destroyed lot of caves and occuping and storing Hindu images and statues in it..
I listen sutras from Goyanka Guruji in Pali I don't understand completly but I read lot of English and Indian books on Dhamma, I mostly impressed with Pure land buddhism and with Master Ching Kung AND HIS BOOKS I also impressed with Dr.Ambedkars Thougts on Dhamma

I did not realize you read buddhist texts by Venerable Ching Kung. Being chinese, we also listen to his audio/video tapes as well.

Two others are Venerable Tsing-Yun, which I've blogged previously, and Venerable Chan Master Sheng-yen, which I have just blogged here.

I will check up on Dr.Ambedkar. Does he have a website?
